The Charter of Diversity is an initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions under the patronage of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
By signing the Charter of Diversity, Eticor is sending a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in the world of work and showing its appreciation of all employees regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and ideology, sexual orientation and social background.
“Our working world is constantly changing,” says Dr Jörg Schick, CEO of Eticor. ”Through our commitment to diversity, we are implementing a holistic approach to countering social and economic changes such as globalization, demographic change and declining employment figures and proactively shaping the future. By signing the Diversity Charter, we are once again clearly positioning ourselves towards our employees, customers and business partners in terms of diversity and value orientation.”
“Our society is more diverse and differentiated than ever: this makes it all the more important to promote diversity and respectful and appreciative interaction in the workplace. By signing the Diversity Charter, Eticor is committed to recognizing and respecting the diversity of society and its needs within and outside the organization, says Charter Managing Director Corina Christen. “By signing the charter, you are clearly demonstrating that the diverse needs of employees must be taken into account and firmly anchored in the organization's internal structures. After all, diversity is not just an attitude that is worth standing up for every day, it also needs to be backed up by action,” adds Charter Managing Director Franzi von Kempis.
Diversity management is a cross-cutting issue. The idea behind it: An organizational culture in which diversity is lived as a matter of course leads to all employees contributing their potential in the best possible way. It also promotes the diversity of ideas or products that the organization stands for.
More and more companies and institutions are seeing these benefits: around 240 corporations, companies, public institutions, clubs, foundations and associations have now signed the Charter of Diversity. Around 2 million employees benefit from this.
